Today, I went to the Yankees game with my family. I’ve been to an abundance but this game was especially memorable.
To start, the US Army’s Golden Knights, the special squad of parachuters, entered the stadium from a few planes. It was one of the most incredible sights I had ever seen — I got the chills and was near tears. I’m not sure what about it was so touching to me, but the whole concept was flabbergasting.
Once the game began, Derek Jeter (whom I have been in love with since I was a little girl) hit two home runs and Jorge Posada hit a grand slam. Not once have I seen such blasts while being at the stadium so it was a really great experience.
